A study’s conducted by the World Health Organization, released in early July found that the USA is the has the largest percentage of population, among the 17 surveyed counties, that have used Marijuana at least one time.

The numbers for the top five are:

USA – 42.4%

New Zealand – 41.9%

Netherlands – 19.8%

France – 19%

Germany – 17.5%

The interesting thing is that the only other country even close to us is New Zealand, another country with similiar drug policies to ours. The Netherlands, where Amsterdam is located, has less than half as many who tried it and the study found they tend to try it as adults, not as teenagers like in the USA.

I had an uneventful birthday….though a good one. My sister and mom made me a homemade carrot cake that was excellent! Yesterday was my dad’s birthday, they made him a Mexican chocolate cake, if you have never tried one of these they are also excellent, they have some cinnamon and a slightly different texture. There are a lot of Leos in our family. My sister’s birthday is coming up on the 15th, she is turning 18, but I am throwing her a big party the next weekend, cause she is going away to college too. Hopefully that goes well, we are having a dressy theme, kinda a cocktail party….I got one of my friends, Lily, to help me….that way I have feminine input and better ideas to throw a girly enough party for my sister, cause if you used a color to describe my sister it would definitely be PINK. I really would like to make she gets a great send-off from all her friends before she goes off into the big wide world for at least a year.
There wasn’t anything wonderful about my birthday, but nothing bad either so you gotta count that in the win column, I think….I hope your birthday is a win too!

Today is my birthday! I am now 26….I am doing birthday stuff, so no post today(other than this one). I am busy starting teaching again for the year tomorrow, so possibly no post then either, but on Tuesday, August 12th I will be back posting with a vengeance!
