Web Development Class leads to Great Wordpress Theme – Comic Press
I teach at the local alternative school, The Farm School. In past years I taught Algebra 1 & 2 and applied physics and handled administration of the computers. This year I am teaching Advanced Mathematics(trigonometry, etc.) and Web Design.
This year I hope the Web Design class can take over design of the school site. I have setup a students section of my website, for their personal projects and sites. I am trying to allow my Web Design students to do something that really appeals to them and so I set one of my students up with a wordpress blog. He is an artist and wants to do his own web comic. He showed me a site that ran a theme he liked and I tracked it back to the source.
I found the developer’s website, Comic Press. The theme was easy to install and seems really nice, it is called Comic Press(and it’s related plug-in for ease-of-use). It is used on quite a few good web comics and allows you to have a comics section independent of your blog posts, in a variety of ways, with really great design.
